Bobs Hairstyles for Heart Shaped Face

Katie Holmes. Heart Shaped Face

Note how Katie Holmes's bob is heavy at the chin, this balances out her amazing cheeks with her pointed chin. Chin length bobs are great for heart shaped face, just make sure the ends are a bit tapered. Side swept bangs are gorgeous on heart shaped face shape.

Katherine McPhee. Long Hairstyle

Long and  side swept bangs are super flattering and show off amazing cheekbones. Also note her perfect color.

Short Hairstyles for Heart Shaped Faces

Halle Berry's short hairstyle is perfect

Short hairstyles are super flattering on a short face shape. Short haircut  is becoming more and more popular.

The short hairstyle may seem like a wash and go type of haircut, and it is. However, you will need trims every five to six weeks. This cut is also best for women without kinky and curly hair.

Ginnifer Goodwin

Not everyone can get away with a short hair. This haircut can make a square face look more square and a long face look more oblong. If you have a heart shaped face, you pretty much own the short cut.

The softness of a sweeping side bang and the wispy hair in front of the ear work together to frame the eyes.

Almost all short hairstyles look great on heart-shaped faces.
All those little pieces help emphasize the cheekbones and eyes; it's almost as if you build in cheekbones with this cut.

Hairstyles for Heart Shaped Faces

Reese Witherspoon. Heart Shaped Face

Reese Witherspoon is a classic heart shaped face. Heart shaped face and her hair always looks great. In the past few years, she has tried all trends to great affect: long hair, long, side swept bangs, blunt bangs, chin-length bob and shoulder length hair. The only cut she didn't look great in was the chin-length. While bobs can look great on heart shaped faces, the cut didn't work on Witherspoon.

Haircut for Heart Shaped Face

Her pointy chin tends to be the focal point of Reese's face. The long layers of this haircut make hair the focal point.
She's sported shoulder length bobs, long waves, and shorter hair, but one thing she's rarely without is side swept bangs.  Perhaps because of her face shape. Heart shaped faces are wider up top, which can look a bit heavy. You can balance out the face with long, side swept. The shortest pieces should hit your face at the arch of your brow. The longest pieces should hit the outer corners of your eyes.

Don't cut your bangs too short. I find it's best to cut bangs when dry because they tend to shrink when they dry.
